Baked Tofu

  • 1 package soft tofu
  • 2 tbs sriracha sauce (or other hot sauce of your choice)
  • 1 tbs crushed ginger root
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbs lemon juice OR rice vinegar
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  1. Drain tofu. Wrap the block of tofu in a napkin, dishtowel, or cheesecloth. Place a weight on top and leave for at least 20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Slice drained tofu into approximately 1 inch (2-3 cm) cubes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sriracha, ginger, garlic, and lemon juice.
  4. Place tofu cubes in a shallow dish or tupperware.
  5. Pour soy marinade over the tofu, and let soak for at least one hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 400F (205C). When oven comes to temperature, place tofu cubes on a sheet pan about 1-2 inches (5cm) apart from each other.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes.
