Sometimes, major environmental threats can be right in your own shed– or in the aisle of your local home improvement store. One such hazard is methylene chloride, which is found in some paint strippers. Not only is it bad for the environment if it gets into the water supply, but it has already killed 60 people in the USA, and caused liver damage, nerve damage, and cancer in many more.

The NRDC is asking hardware stores to stop selling this chemical, starting with Lowe’s Home Improvement. Sign the letter to Lowe’s HERE.
